“And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.”
― Sylvia Plath
Hello and welcome to my blog, where you’ll find musings on creativity, the art and sorcery of writing, and some fiction.
After many years working in primary healthcare and medical education, I’m dedicating more time to writing and helping others to reclaim their lost creative spark.
I love to suspend my disbelief, so bring on sci-fi, magical realism, modern fairytales and fantasy, the more diverse the better. Poetry is another escape from the world.
If I’m not reading or writing, you’ll find me in the garden or seeing the world, rarely the same place twice. There are too many places and not enough time.
Got a comment on my post? I’d love to hear it, let’s talk.

Hi, Pat! It’s Becca Puglisi, from Writers Helping Writers. You’re one of the winners in this month’s critique contest :). But when I click on your WordPress profile, it doesn’t give me an address but brings me to your website. I’ll need you to contact me within the next 24 hours at firstname.lastname@example.org so I can tell you the next steps. If I don’t hear back from you, I unfortunately will have to move on. I hope to hear from you!
Love your writing Pat, I read your words in barton2day and the last one really struck a chord…
Thanks for reading Jan! The barton2day stories have been quite light but I wanted to go a little deeper this time. Glad you enjoyed it.
